My friend (40 yo) was recently diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer and is evaluating treatment options. She will be undergoing chemo and radiation. It has been suggested that she can get an ovary transposition surgery before her radiation starts, for the purpose of preserving ovary function to delay menopause. Has anyone had experiences with this procedure that they would like to share?

Hi everyone,
For those of you who have undergone pelvic radiation, can you share your experience? Did you choose to have ovary transposition surgery? Why or why not? If you did, what was it like - preparation, duration, recovery?
