Has your doctor warned you about taking NSAIDs with UC? Do you take aspirin or ibuprofen to help with your pain? Does it seem to help or make it worse?

Hello
I have UC and along with that I have axial arthritis which is pain in my spine and lower back. I usually take aspirin or ibuprofen to help with the pain. My doctor just told me this is bad for my UC and can actually trigger it more. I never knew this. Did everyone else know this? Call me crazy, but I feel like that is something they should tell you upfront...
