Hi, I've had UC for many years now, but these past few months I've really been hit by the chronic fatigue. I find it difficult to get myself up in the morning and by the afternoon I'm completely wiped out. I barely have the energy to do basic tasks at home without a nap or at least a strong coffee beforehand.
Does anyone have any advice? How do you cope with this? Has anyone else experienced more fatigue with age?

I try and get more sleep. At least 8hrs but there are days where I just can't get that. I just rest more when I can

I also experience chronic fatigue. I have had UC for 6 years now. My doctors don't seem to understand why I feel so depleted of energy after performing simple / minor tasks. I do have back issues such as degenerative disc disease and bulging discs. I can tell the difference between the back pain and the fatigue. I have tried taking vitamin E, drinking energy drinks, drinking coffee, which nothing seems to work. This is one of the reasons I joined this site. I don't know how I am suppose to hold a full-time position when some days I don't feel like getting out of bed, I have an infusion once per month which also depletes my energy, and I have multiple doctor appts. each month. I've been let go from the last 2 jobs due to these reasons and disability continues to deny my claims. They state all though I am disabled, I can do some type of work.
Frustrated,

The past few months I've started having really bad fatigue too. I feel like I'm dragging myself around I haven't gotten in to see my doctor about it yet, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. haven't started any new meds or anyhing and I haven't really had it this bad before. Has anyone else had this?

Hi everyone, how are you today? Have you seen this older discussion?
Do any of you experience fatigue with your UC? If so, is it constant or does it come and go? How do you manage it? Is there anything that helps?
