Hi , I am 53 years old. I discovered I had kidney cancer in January of this year - thankfully they thought it was kidney stones but ordered a ct scan and cystoscopy. Found a large tumor on left kidney. I am about 2.5 months out from a nephrectomy.
I am nervous and scared and have my wife as a support.

Hi I am Mark. I am 36 years old. I found out I had cancer because I went in to see my PCP because I was afraid I had kidney stones for the second time in my life - it was the same symptoms: pain while urinating and pain in my side. However, it was not and I am lucky that my doctor made the right choice and sent me for a referral and kidney cancer was diagnosed when it was in its very early stages and I was able to begin treatment without any need for surgery. I still am fearful of it returning, but I do my best to take care of myself in all the ways I can.
I am glad I found this site and look forward to connecting with more people! Feel free to reach out to me.

Hello members,
We have created a new group specifically dedicated to renal cancer (kidney cancer). In this group there exists forums dedicated to renal cancer, so please check them out, create discussions, and participate in ongoing ones.
To begin this group, I think it would be beneficial for everyone to introduce themselves and give a brief background of their history related to kidney cancer.
