Hello everyone, how are you doing today? 😊

For many men, the thought of medical exams and procedures can bring discomfort, not just physically, but emotionally as well. Prostate cancer testing and treatment often require some level of exposure, which can be challenging if you’re someone who feels uneasy about being unclothed in a medical setting.

🔹 What should you expect?

  • Digital rectal exams (DREs) and biopsies may require partial undressing, but usually,
  • you are covered as much as possible.
  • MRI scans and PET scans typically allow you to remain in a gown.
  • Radiation therapy and catheter removal may involve more exposure, but medical professionals take steps to protect your modesty.

Medical teams see hundreds of patients and handle these situations with professionalism, but it’s completely understandable to feel uneasy.

👉 Have you felt uncomfortable with the level of exposure required during prostate cancer testing or treatment?

👉 How did you manage feelings of embarrassment or modesty?

👉 Do you have any tips for staying calm and confident in these situations?
