@Leenda‍, I do not have TNBC - actually had to go google it. However, I would like to wish you the best in your chemo treatments. I hope you receive good news at every follow-up.

How do you feel after your first treatment? Doctor said you would feel the most drained/tired/pain the day of or the day after; however, I felt the most drained/exhausted two days after. I just wanted to sleep and had no appetite.

I am sure they have told you, but make sure you stay hydrated.

Thanks so much for the reply. Tuesday (21st) was first one. Felt good that day and yesterday. Today I have had a headache all day. The MD doesn’t want me to take Advil, only Tylenol. Not as effective. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

I had not heard  of TNBC until diagnosed; had to come home and Google it.

I am drinking lots of liquid.

t

Thanks again.

Linda

@Leenda‍ that is what happened to me... two days after or so.

I have an uncle, whose partner has stage 4 cancer (it is in various places: lung, prostate, and others), however he had massive migraines after chemo and then would not drink anything and just lay around and has been hospitilized twice thus far. After the second time, the doctors spoke to him about putting him on medicine which he should take every day for those migraines/pains. Perhaps, if the headaches keep up, you could speak to your doctor about that.

I will try to find out what the medication he is taking is called.

Thanks!

Today is a little better. I found info online that it the nausea rx that causes the headaches.

Zofran. I haven't been nauseous, so I won't take it now. Plus, I  am a wimp when it comes to headaches.

Day#4?

I, too, just finished treatment for TNBC.  My journey began around Thanksgiving of last year.  Had tumor removed in December, began chemo in January and radiation in late April.

I just finished radiation. 38 treatments.  I did not do any chemo, not that anyone wants to, but everything I've read says at least 4 rounds of chemo. I asked my radiation oncologist, and she told me they usually do it before radiation.  I don't know what to think. Oncologist also told me my cure rate went from 99.9% to 73%. That made me question the no chemo even more.

Your cure rate went lower with if you did chemo?

Or after radiation?

I was told my cancer was aggressive so the chemo was necessary.  Radiation would not have been needed if I’d had a mastectomy (which was not warranted with the size and location of my tumor).  All my medical team agreed that the treatment plan gave me the best cure rate.

MY daughter has this type of cancer and it is very agressive. She had 4 chemos that she was very sick from ended up in hospital 3 times... Now after that chemo the cancer has returned her breast has doubled in size and in lungs.  She has had 2 new treatments and is doing 2 more chemos then he suggested surgery to remove the breast to improve the quality of her life.  then more chemo... can any one tell me what to say or do for her.  I live with her and take care of her handicapped daughter who is now 21... and her and her boyfriend have custody of a 2 year old so now i am taking care of him too...
