I have several things wrong with me. I think the nurse practitioner thinks I enjoy seeing him. I'm far from being a hypochondriac. Two years ago I was told by another doctor I had a mass in my bladder. He tried to use a camera up my urethra but it hurt so bad he didn't finish the procedure. I never went back. Two years later, the nurse practioner said I had an abnormal pap smear and a polyp. I have a brown discharge and the nurse practitioner said he "thinks" it's dried blood pooling in my uterus from the polyp. The discharge has a foul urine smell. They don't explain very well and I keep having to ask the same questions over again before I get an answer. The lady at the front desk sounds like she has attitude each time I call to ask questions. They referred me to a specialist 40-50 miles away. The specialist I think is waiting until the virus eases up before she schedules my appointment. I have transportation issues- and I reside in a very rural area with no cabs or uber's. I should consider myself lucky to have a doctor. There are no specialists in my area who will take my insurance. Ob/gyn won't see me unless I'm pregnant. What year are we in? And I have to travel 40-50 miles to see a doctor? If I have cancer, it would be my third time. I'm worried about the long wait to be seen. My insurance does NOT cover transportation. My doctor can't help with transportation either. There is nothing here. I've called social services, but they don't provide transportation either.

@Imgeena I'm sorry you're dealing with this! I can't imagine what it would be like to have to make long drives like that when you're in the middle of treatment. I'm sure this isn't a very helpful question, but do you have any friends or family who could take you? Have they postponed your treatments until the coronavirus is calmed down?
