Hello everyone, how are you doing? 😊

Melatonin, often called the “sleep hormone,” is naturally produced when it gets dark, helping regulate our sleep-wake cycle. But modern lifestyles, especially exposure to blue light from screens, can interfere with its production. Luckily, here are 7 ways to naturally boost melatonin and improve sleep:

✔️ Get sunlight in the morning to regulate your body clock. ☀️

✔️ Exercise regularly, but preferably during the day. 🏃‍♂️

✔️ Reduce screen time in the evening to limit blue light exposure. 📱❌

✔️ Maximize natural light indoors during the day. 🌿

✔️ Eat foods rich in tryptophan (nuts, bananas, eggs) to support melatonin production. 🍌🥚

✔️ Stick to a consistent sleep schedule to reinforce your body’s rhythm. ⏰

✔️ Sleep in total darkness to optimize nighttime melatonin release. 🌑

Some people also use melatonin supplements under medical advice to reset their sleep cycle.

👉 Do you have a bedtime routine that helps boost melatonin naturally?

👉 Have you tried melatonin supplements? Did they help?

👉 What other tips do you use to improve sleep quality?

Hi and Happy New Year!! Let's all make it a much better 1. Sleep, natural melatonin, well, as article mentions, get Natural light early in day. Even if cloudy, light comes thru clouds. Another thought, since I'm skin cancer survivor, I wear sunscreen daily, even IF cloudy. Melanoma is a bitch. Fortunately it was caught early enough, no chemo, radiation, targeted therapy, etc. I'm lucky!! And, dark time of year present, wearing sunscreen can psychologically uplift 1. Trick your brain into thinking it's nice out. What other ideas do any of u have??
