HELLO EVERYONE, I HAVE NOT BEEN ONLINE BECAUSE I AM IN A FLARE-UP AND I HAD A VERY BAD COLD/FLU. IT IS TERRIBLE WHEN YOU ARE SICK AND HAVE NO ENERGY TO COOK OR MAKE A MEAL. SINCE MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY----I AM STUCK!! I AM SEARCHING FOR A CAREGIVER AND HAVE NO LUCK!! I HAD TO TAKE AN UBER TO THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE AND I HATE TO SEE THE CREDIT CARD BILL. THE FEE WAS $46.00 ONE WAY AND 27 CENTS PER MINUTE. I JUST AM STARTING TO SINK LOWER WITH MY FINANCES. IT IS EXPENSIVE TO BE SICK!!! THE PRINCIPLE IS I AM NOT FEELING GOOD PHYSICALLY AND AM WORRIED ABOUT MY FINANCES MENTALLY. I CAN NOT RUN ANYWHERE BECAUSE THESE ISSUES FOLLOW ME.
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE WITH LUPUS (SLE) KNOWS TO STAY OUT OF THE SUN AND HEAT!!
THE SUN IS NOT OUR FRIEND!

There certainly is a shortage of urologists in North East Pennsylvania..I've ..been with my urologist for almost 7 years (retiring in November).I'm currently looking for a new one...probably going to go with Geisinger (Dr. IRA Kohn-his philosophy agrees with mine).......

I do not have difficulties with Doctors but your web page is not easy to use and my advanced education and work is in Computer Science. Make your web page easier to use. Otherwise no comment from myself

I have to leave my area just to get a specialist. We've got a lot of primary care here but specialist you have to go to Seattle or somewhere else in the state. It's very sad. Especially when you have a chronic condition or conditions like I do.

I live in a small town in Penna. As far as I know, we never had a Rheumatologist except for 3 hospitals over 1 hour away. I tried all places and seemed like I knew more than them. Received no care except looking at my hands due to Raynaud's. One came to my area for a year and now moved back to a city. He was the worse. Is anyone near the Pottsville area who can recommend a good Rummy?
Thank you ,Carol

But the physicians appear to rush through the visits because they are so busy. Therefore, it's possible that if there were more physicians, they would give each patient more time.

Hi everyone,
How are you today?
According to the Association of American Medical Colleges, the United States could see an estimated shortage of between 37,800 and 124,000 physicians by 2034.
This fact, combined with the growth and aging of the population, could lead to deep pitfalls in both primary and specialty care.
What about you? Do you have trouble getting appointments to see a doctor or specialist? How far do you have to travel to see your doctor or specialist? How long do you typically wait for an appointment?
