Do you have restless sleep? https://www.carenity.us/forum/lupus/living-with-lupus/restless-sleep-1859Posted on 5/5/20 10:27 PM
@Lupusgirl I definitely understand and experience this too! I have SUCH a hard time falling asleep. I almost get anxiety over it because I know I need to get to sleep because my sleep is so poor. But then I can't fall asleep because I'm thinking about it too much, it's awful! And sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep like you! And then I spend my whole day groggy and in a fog. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to fight this? I'm not sure I can handle another medication so if anyone has any more natural remedies I'm interested!

@Lupusgirl @jasmine1092 Same, I have a hard time sleeping too! I have restless leg syndrome which doesn't make it easy. And then with my depression I have insomnia. I try to cut off screens and all "blue light" by 8 to try to give my circadian system the best chance possible to fall asleep naturally. And when all else fails I go for a chamomile or valerian root tea that helps. I try to avoid extra medications where I can, but I've heard melatonin works and is non habit forming.

I struggle with this too, but I think it's mostly related to the pain and then my depression. My thoughts swirl a lot and I just can't get to sleep. @lupus38 I use melatonin and like it
