Immune thrombocytopenic purpura: What were your first symptoms?

Hi, it's nice to see that there are forums for people with this strange disease.

In my case, I didn't have any symptoms, it was during a routine bloodwork that I discovered tht my platelet count was low. Several tests and exams later I got my diagnosis

I had these small bumps on my skin, its called petekiah (sp?) and I always get a ton of nose bleeds. I didn't find out until much later about ITP, I was shocked when I found out both of those things are related.

Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) can be discovered in different ways. For some, a low platelet count may be picked up during routine bloodwork, while others may notice symptoms that lead them to seek medical advice.

Thinking back to before your ITP diagnosis, what were the first signs or symptoms you noticed? Did you experience things like unusual bruising, petechiae, or nosebleeds, or was your low platelet count discovered unexpectedly through a blood test?
