Hi everyone 👋
Being diagnosed with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) can feel like a lot to take in. For some, it comes after months, or even years, of unexplained symptoms like heartburn, chest discomfort, coughing, or that constant need to clear your throat. For others, it’s caught by surprise during a routine check-up or after an endoscopy.
But no matter how it happens, a GERD diagnosis often brings up a lot of questions: What does this mean for my daily life? Will I always need medication? What can I still eat without triggering symptoms?
🩺 How did your GERD diagnosis come about?
💭 Did you feel relieved to finally have a name for your symptoms or was it more overwhelming?
🍽️ What’s been the biggest adjustment for you since being diagnosed?
