Hi everyone. I am a now diagnosed diabetic and I found this site and hoping for some help from others.
Do any of you supplement with any certain vitamins? Or are there any vitamins that are beneficial for diabetics, perhaps even in helping glucose regulation or insulin uptake?
Thank you.

Vitamin B is hard for diabetics to absorb. When I was first dxd, I had ugly brown spots on my lower legs. It looked permanently bruised. When I asked about them, the Dr immediately prescribed a concentrated b vitamin. My ins won't cover it anymore so I buy the B Complex at the grocery store. My Dr ok'd it. Another I take, because I'm not out in the sun a lot is vitamin D. I'm taking 2000 ius daily. Those are 2 that my Dr tests me for regularly. Another thing to consider is magnesium and Calcium. These are also tested with my quarterly labs. I just get enough of these in my daily food intake because my calcium is always over 9 and magnesium (good for leg cramps), is always in the good range. Also the grocery store sells a diabetic vitamin, but I don't know what's in it.
