I have A-Fib and a leaking mitral valve. I had a Watchman inserted in my heart because the blood thinners I was on for so many years caused me to have too many very severe uncontrolled nose bleeds. For the leaking valve, I recently had a MitraClip inserted in my heart to stop the majority of the leakage. I've asked my cardiologists and sleep doctors if the heart symptoms were because of my sleep apnea or vice versa. Not one of them could say for sure which came first. I am 82 yrs old and you learn to live with whatever hand you are dealt. I'm doing OK now but hope in time to be doing even better. I faithfully use my cpap machine every night and I check the readouts every day and it shows that I am doing great.

Hi,
I'm Sandy and have had two mild strokes with slight residual on my left side. I recently had a heart monitor implant since it is suspected that I have A-Fib. I have a diagnosis of Cryptogenic Stroke. I'm 79 and am otherwise in
good health. Currently my meds are Aggrenox and a statin. Happy Holidays everyone!

Hi everyone, I just joined the group! I have CHD and had a heart attack a few years ago. I was fitted with a pacemaker not long after. I had to make some major changes to my diet and lifestyle and it was certainly a scare, but overall I'm in a better place now health-wise.
Hope everyone is having a happy new year so far! :)

I have had two strokes, a seizure, and at times, I am afraid that I will die alone. I feel as if no one will know what has happened to me.

@Somya.P I was recently diagnosed with 50% blockage (Stenosis) of the carotid arteries. Waiting for the ultrasound by my Cardiologist to see if it is actually only 50%, therefore no action needed at this time...If 70% or more, then prepare for Cardio-Vascular Surgery to clear...
