Hello Carenity members,

What were the symptoms that you originaly experienced with breast cancer that made you seek medical advice? Please describe the symptoms and their duration before you sough medical advice/treatment.

My hopes is that this becomes a forum for users to reference in the future or for those that are possible concerned they may need to seek medical advice.

Thank you.

My PSA went from 4.01 to 20.5 in one year. I have biopsy taken and 80% of the prostrate is cancer. I have (2) more exams to determine if the cancer has spread to other parts of my body.

I think that my remaining life stand will be about (2) months.

I need to talk with someone to ease my mental pain.

Thank you for reading this.

Best regards,

Bill Bivens

I had some slow weight loss and then I had blood loss from my rectom while in Estrella jail. I was taken to ER when they found a 15 yr old tumor had split the walls of my colon. Colon area around tumor and tumorr itself removed. Biopsy showed malignant. No treatment required at the time I was told then 7 months later had PET done. Results lit up my liver so then a MRI was done. I am told tumors are in my liver so I'm waiting on biopsy to see if it spread or if it's a new cancer. The MRI made them think it's malignant so I think it spread.

I had lost quite a bit of weight. I'd weighed around 185 my entire life, then had dropped about 30 pounds. At the time I didn't think anything of it, because I was working 100 hours a week during the housing crisis. We were on the road for 3 weeks at a time and just grabbing food from drive thru and eating about half of it. Trouble swallowing. Then I got pneumonia and ended up in the hospital. That's when they said something was wrong. After an endoscopy and biopsy, I was diagnosed Stage IV EC.

Ovarian Cancer Stage 3 C, about 6 months with symptoms before I went to my doctor, about 6 months of severe gastric reflux, extreme fatigue month 6 only,  wt. loss, (40 pounds in 6 months ) but I was very overweight so it did not disturb me until my severe fatigue set in, diarrhea and abdominal cramps 3 weeks before diagnosis, a dry cough which I believed was related to allergies but actually was a pleural effusion due to pressure from the tumor.   No pain!  This is late stage  Ovarian cancer which most women are diagnosed with because the symptoms are so vague.  Please tell all the women you know.  Although many are diagnosed later in life some young women develop it too.  There is no universal screening tool yet so that also slows diagnosis.   Thanks for the opportunity to share.  mc1440
