Hi Somya π
I was offered treatment fairly soon after my diagnosis, which was reassuring but also a bit overwhelming at the time. Thereβs a lot to take in so quickly.
I think starting treatment early makes sense to help slow progression, but itβs really important to feel fully informed and comfortable with the decision.
For me, an effective approach is finding the right balance between being proactive and feeling confident in the treatment choice.
Thanks for opening this discussion π

Hello everyone π
In the US, thereβs a growing emphasis on starting disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) early to help slow disease progression and reduce relapses. Medications like Ocrevus, Kesimpta, or Mavenclad are increasingly part of first-line treatment for many newly diagnosed patients.
For some, this feels reassuring and proactive. For others, it can feel like a lot to process so quickly.
