So, I have been researching and talking with an Acupuncturist as well who has said that some ms patients do well with Accupuncture and it manages pain very well, so that they don't have a lot anymore and some even have none.

I'm skeptic about this of course since it's needles being inserted into the body and sounds a bit painful, not only that but costly too for the first appointment, so I wanted to get opinions or hear from anyone that may have tried Acupuncture.

@LynndMS‍ a broken clavicle you will not suffer what I went through. Mine was caused from an improper chiropractic manipulation that subluxed my SC joint and caused nerve damage into my arm. It was then compounded with multiple misdiagnosis in which doctors performed surgeries I really never needed, all of which ultimately made me worse.

How did you recover form your broken clavicle? Hopefully you recovered well?

I have never tried piercing. I do acupuncture to my serratus anterior to hopefully cause it to regenerate one day.

I also do acupuncture and dry needling to all the muscles surrounding my left shoulder.

@Lee__R‍ my broken clavicle was nothing compared to any of the myriad other health issues I suffer. I have poly neuropathy that’s spreading fast (they don’t know because I have MS, Lupus, Vasculitis, Ann’s umpteen auto accidents, falls, (in the accident when I was 10 and my Aunt who was my caregiver died, I broke my neck, arm, and five bottom teeth, and one when I was five I smashed my right knee, and one others head on as an adult. I’ve slipped on ice and suffered a concussion, (a year last February), then the fall last November was the clavicle but again was neck jarring and head as I was pulled down by my dog while I wasn’t paying attention (he saw a squirrel) and it was a hard fall as I was not expecting it, then down the stairs in March ... I’m 55 and when you start to age you really feel the wear and tear ...  So needless to say I just have different pain often and it just goes with the territory. As far as misdiagnoses .. there are a lot of bad doctors everywhere (I’ve lived in many places and long enough to hear other friends stories) ... and I’ve had autoimmune stuff a large part of my life that wasn’t diagnosed and passed off as “stress” which is so common especially among women.  As far as the clavicle my arm was in a sling 4 weeks but the osteopath was more concerned with a tendon tear, however I’ve had much worse injuries go untreated (more dog stories) and my husband and I who recently reunited after 25 years pitched baseball from childhood until age 35, and then has been a concrete laborer from then until now and he is 62, so he suffers constantly too ... again age and wear and tear takes a toll though thankfully he hasn’t experienced the car accidents and falls but the rest has taken a toll. So ... hang in there as it doesn’t get better unless they find a medical miracle which could happen in your lifetime but probably not mine.

@LynndMS‍ I am sorry you are going through everything you are going through, but I am glad you continue to push forward and overcome all of these numerous obstacles.

How is your clavicle today?

@Lee__R‍ I’m sorry you’ve experienced your trauma. In your picture you look young and none of life’s mishaps are any fun.  I’m not sorry for myself at all. Everything we go through is (or can be) a good learning experience. My point to the story I told was that try and embrace your youth because things usually tumbled down with age (health) , however hopefully it enriches wisdom. Hang in there and thank you for being the group manager. ?

oh and, the clavicle seems fine. My fingers are crossed arthritis stays away.

Thank you @LynndMS‍ and I think you are correct with "Everything we go through is a good learning experience and it also makes us stronger. There are days where this is difficult to live by, but overall I tend to be becoming better and better at it, especially after my last surgery has brought my pain down to at least a manegable number.

I also hope there is no arthritis setting in your clavicle... if it was a mid-shaft break, at least hopefully any discomfort if it does occur will be minimal.

Hi @Lee__R‍ it was the tip of the bone that I broke off .... I am glad your pain is at a manageable level. Pain is a pain. I hope you have a good day. Take care.

Hey all... I agree pain is the worst! I have experienced acupuncture and dry needling and e-stim with acupuncture... its feels great in the moment and I relax and sometimes I can get relief for a few hours or a day, but it comes back with a vengeance and there is nothing I can do to manage it.

I have not had permanent relief from acupuncture; the only relief I ever got was more of a calming effect, which I guess is good, but it is too expensive for just a calming effect.

Thank you for sharing @Emma2190‍ . I love that we all can help each other out.

For me, I never had much success with acupuncture and that may be due to the cost being rather expensive to continue up with the visits.
