Hello,
I’m a Ph.D. student from Nolden Lab of the Department of Food Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. We are currently recruiting participants for the research study titled "Experiences related to taste changes and food preferences of cancer survivors"
In this study, we are hoping to understand the characteristics of altered taste functions and food preferences among cancer survivors and their experiences about the strategies they followed for alleviating altered taste functions.
This study will help the research community to broaden the understanding of taste problems in cancer survivors and thereby help to find strategies to uplift the quality of life of cancer survivors.
Those who are,
-diagnosed with cancer
-above 21 years of age
-treated or currently been treating in the US
-were not pregnant during treatment or in the year following the end of treatment
are eligible to take part in the study. This study will be a brief online survey which will take around 15-20 minutes of your time and you can log in to the survey from any place you feel comfortable accessing the questionnaire.
Upon the completion of the survey, you will be eligible to enter a raffle draw where five $50 amazon gift cards will be given away.
The study link is given below.

Best regards,
Tharaka (on behalf of Nolden Sensory Team)
