My husband uses kratom daily for pain caused by arthritis. I use it occasionally for bad pain, since I can't take ibuprofen or naproxen. It's very good for pain, and helps with sleep also. I find it more effective and has less side effects than OTC or prescription pain killers.

@Deasatheeng96 I started taking kratom when I was diagnosed with cervical dystonia, it means I have constant pulling of my neck and shoulder muscles. Botox is the primary treatment , 6 to 8 shots targeting muscles but its hit and miss. I told a friend about this and he told me about kratom, so I went to a kratom shop and talked to the owner. He learned I was an Army Veteran and sold me some capsules. Unbelievable the kratom knocked out the pain and relieved some of the spasms and pulling that was 5 years ago, and I am still taking it for chronic pain. I have found the vendors to trust and a fbook website to share experiences with others. Like all things kratom must be handled with common sense, and reading info on the web helps educate us all. IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS WITH MY CHRONIC PAIN

@Claygroufen2 Be very careful not to dose too much. I have taken Kratom for 3 years for chronic back pain. It works very well, but I got myself into a situation because I would dose every 3 hours which got to be 7 times a day. I found myself getting up at 4 in the morning with restless leg syndrome and needing another dose. I consulted a friend who told me to back off to every 4 hours and taper down to 5 times a day. Eventually taper down to 3 doses five times a day. It took a week of suffering with withdrawals but I am now feeling better with less dosing. I have learned to taper very slowly. Also, liposomal vitamin c helped me with withdrawal symptoms. I never realized the potency of Kratom. However, I would rather use a natural pain killer than opoids and it works well.

That is exactly what happened to me. I have chronic back pain and started dosing every 3 hours, dosing 7 times a day. I woke up at 4am needing a dose. I have a friend who guided me. I tapered to four times a day and I was surprised at how hard the withdrawals are. Liposome Vitamin C helped so much! I would like to eventually get to 3 doses a day but kratom certainy helps with my back pain.

Do you take Kratom in addition to your normal pain meds? I have extreme chronic pain I've been dealing with for over 15 yrs. At this point I don't think I can stop the morphine, HYDROmorphone and gabapentin I'm taking for this. I'm hoping the Kratom will help some with, pain and energy. Is anyone else taking their regular pain meds plus Kratom?

I couldn't leave bed until I found Kratom. Now I struggle with the appetite suppression, which is hard because I already have no appetite 🙃 I use a different natural leaf to counter this. To this day, nothing that's been prescribed has ever come close to helping me as much or as safely as kratom
