Hi everybody,
Recently I've been starting to really get my blood sugar under control thanks to my medication and diet but what worries me is that I always have higher blood sugar in the morning... Is this something I should be worried about?

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!

While I was on pills, yes I had high blood sugar. I started on insulin and the highest I've gotten is 124.

@new2diabetes Hi, sometimes this happens to me when I slip up and snack before bed. Have you noticed if  it happens when you've eaten right before going to sleep?

@new2diabetes I was doing some reading the other day on a diabetes site and it was talking about this effect (of course when I want to talk about it I can't remember the name) that is like rebound hypo. I think actually in the reverse of @cristonale , if you don't eat enough or take too much insulin I think it lowers your blood sugar too much and then to compensate your body rebounds so your blood sugar spikes. I think night sweats were a symptom? I'll try to find the thing I was reading again. But maybe it's that? Have you gotten a hold of your doctor to talk about it?
