Hello everyone,

I hope you're doing well. emoticon cute

As spring is in full swing and we creep our way towards summer, I thought I would open this discussion to talk about traveling with sleep apnea!

Traveling when you have sleep apnea can require some planning or extra packing.

What are your tips for traveling with sleep apnea? Are there any must-haves to bring with you? Any routines or habits to follow when sleeping on the road?

Feel free to share your tips and advice with us here!

Take care,
Courtney

Hi ,

I went to Europe, so you know, the dreaded over night flight. I took a melatonin and got some sleep in but I know I was snoring..LOUDLY the whole time. For some reason, when I'm on a plane, I don't really care about the others around me. I may be selfish but I want to enjoy my trip and I know if I don't try to sleep, I will not be happy at my destination.

Do y'all act the same way or is that just me?

Soon I will be traveling to one of the islands of Spain. I chose the Grand Canary Island, where there are incredibly beautiful beaches and lots of entertainment, that is, everything you need for a good vacation.

Personally, I swear by a portable CPAP machine – a true travel buddy. Toss in a power bank for backup, ‘cause outlets love playing hide-and-seek. Pillow pickiness is a must; trust me, your neck will thank you. And never underestimate the power of sticking to your sleep routine.
