My partner died in my arms dealing with health issue, he was tired of fighting.... I still think about him and do miss him, that was just over ten years ago. It still hurts though...

@Billy pierce and @Belto64‍ , so saddened knowing of your losses. There's no way I can say I know what you are going thru, and there can't possibly be adequate words that will help you feel better. I personally don't believe that time truly makes it better, either.

Everyone has their losses, and must do their best to move on. From my personal experiences in loss, each of them remain with me closely in my heart. Even when sadness is so overwhelming, I try to remember how blessed I was to have had the time that they were in my life. People always say remember the good times. But for me, life is not always good times, and I learn from all experiences. So I treasure the memories, good or bad.

Im not going to tell you it will get better or easier to deal with, because I can't possibly know how it will be, for you. Just allow yourself to grieve, but try not to be consumed by that grief. I'm a firm believer in reaching out to someone when needed, friend or professional.

I offer my heartfelt condolences, and hope that you find your way to allowing yourself to have many moments of happiness again,  despite your losses.

@Billy pierce I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost a few friends over the years. I had a really hard time accepting and processing my grief back in the late 80s and 90s because it was so hard to see people go so young. So much life left to live and so many dreams. Like Janice said, I try to cherish all the memories, good and bad, and am incredibly thankful that science has progressed and there will be fewer people lost to this.

I lost my life partner on Oct 9th of this year. He had stage 4 liver cancer and I held his hand told him I loved him it was ok and see you on the other side. He was the love of my life I don't no how to live without him. We spent 26 yrs together there will be no one else. Just having a hard time trying to figure what do I do now? I cry a lot not everyday but when I do I have no control the tears just come. I miss him everyday.Help
