There are numerous diseases that affect the liver. Among the most common are:

- Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
- Cirrhosis of the liver
- Hepatitis (such as A, B, and C)
- Haemochromatosis
- Wilson disease
- Primary biliary cirrhosis

Which liver disease are you diagnosed with? How long have you been dealing with this condition?

Nfald diagnosed with blood work and echo scan. Done this past July. Just told change diet and lose weight. Lost some weight changed all I eat now. No one seems concerned. Stage 3 fatty liver and fibroses.

I have end stage cirrhosis.i have head varoacies banded until I have to have stunt in my liver. I was given 6 months about 49 months ago.. now I have hip issues where it's bone on bone. Not been cleared for surgery or replacement. The pain is so much I rather die than have to hurt this much. No income and my Medicaid gets me

some meds but I have no car and no way to go to the bigger hospital I been referred to.. any ideas plz help

Found out I had Cirrhosis of the liver this last June. So many questions. Thought I had a good dr but I think he talks in circles.

I have had NAFLD for several years that is now cirrhosisof the liver. Total about 15-20 years. I get an ultra sound every 6 months looking for cancer. My enzyme value has never changed and is at the lowest number. I am not doing anything different or special. Jesus is in control.

Thought I would add some more info. My liver enzymes were fine fron from physical till the next one when they found out my enyzmes were off. Found out I also had a gall stone. I told my DR. I wanted it out and they said they would do a liver biopsy while I was opened. The liver was so physically hard the DR. could not take a biopsy! Because I had surgery in the abdominal area, I had swelling and had to have the fluid drained off. The DR. gave no explaination as to how this happened. But he gave me a serious talk. I can't say I follow his suggestions real close and have been very lucky. So blood tests and ultrasounds every 6 months and and EGD'S once a year looking for Varocies.
