I have tried to go vegan since my diagnosis. But it is a bit more challenging than I expected. I know carbs are bad for NAFLD/NASH and eventually, I realized that I was substituting a lot of bread for meat. I have read a bunch of diet reviews online- Keto, Mediterranean- with various results and comments.

Are there any success stories here about a diet you tried that helped reduce your NASH?

Hi @Bibi1953

How are you doing today?

It is certainly difficult to make a lifestyle change as drastic as veganism. As you have realized by the various posts you've read online and from your personal experience, not every diet works for each body. But I think its a great idea to poll the Carenity community to see what worked best for them. I'll tag a few members who may be wiling to share their diet with you.

What lifestyle changes have you implemented to reduce your NAFLD/NASH? Has it helped? What was the most difficult aspect to sticking to it?

Let's share any tips or advice you have for @Bibi1953

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team

I have found that zero carb tortillas. It is quick and easy even if you are hungry between meals. It is so much easier to keep my carbs count down since I have found these. You can buy these at the grocery store and they are a small size.

Also interested in what people have to say. I have stopped Redbulls, sodas, processed foods and all fast food. I give myself a cheat day each week. Ive lost some weight but i know it's not enough, but I'm looking for something sustainable which I know myself- if I cut out all joy I will crack and go back- advice welcome !
