My father wasn't the best. he would always tell me i'm worthless and say many harsh things. some of my old friends started doing the same thing. My whole life I've been taking care of my dad he would lying about his medical condition all my life. now every mistake i make or try to do something good for myself i feel absolutely terrible. i'm afraid my new friends would leave me or start using me. Does anyone know what it's like for your own father and his family to tell you they don't love you as much? I feel like i can't do anything now i feel lost and scared all the time.

My dad did the same.  I'm 52 and still so insecure.  Feel empty and alone.  Dont know how to deal with people

My “Dad” doesn’t really deserve the title. He was a guy who dreamed of having a son his entire married life - but alas got only daughters! I was unplanned daughter #3.  But did that interfere with the love he had for his girls?? Oh yeah, majorly. He treated his son, my brother, as if his daughters didn’t even exist for the most part, but did assume we were there to wait on him if my mother wasn’t around. He also began touching me in that special way when I was about 15. What a guy! And what a mom for standing by!
