My anxiety and depression have gotten worse over the span of three months. I've always struggled with a severe depression disorder as well as an anxiety disorder throughout my life, I was diagnosed with these when I was a toddler. These disorders are caused by gene mutations. I take medication for both anxiety and depression but sometimes they just don't work 100% of the time. I'm currently in college and I'm failing one of my classes because my depression has distracted me so much, it's so difficult for me to stay focused on a subject that I already have a hard time understanding in the first place. The cause of the increase of my depression and anxiety are my parents. They aren't very understanding or respectful, they both get angry with me very easily, and ever since I started college they have just been on my back more than usual. I'm always hiding in my room to avoid them. It feels so suffocating, I have no friends to talk to or confide in, I'm trapped with two people who are emotionally abusing me and I don't know what to do.

Dear Victoria, If you have to rely on your parents for financial support you are in a tough spot. If I may suggest that you touch base with Student services at school to see if they have counseling available. There's no shame in seeking objective advice in dealing with the new changes in your life along with ways to protect yourself from your parents.  You've come far so you already are a warrior even if you don't feel like one. Good luck sweetie.
