I have been suffering with depression anxiety for over 15 years have taken many different medications some help most don't.. I can't keep a job because of it seems the older i get the worse it gets.. there are days when I just don't wanna get out of bed let alone go anywhere.. this is my first post in this group help please..

@DebbyL I'm 57 as well and I understand how you feel right now. My anxiety is getting worse as well. It may be because I can't move away from people as quickly in my wheelchair. It's frustrating when the best medicines stop working. I need to get that genetic test when I can afford it. Thank you for letting me know such a thing exists. The very best of luck to you!

my depression started in 2004 when I had breast cancer. Family fall apart I found my self on my on. Started losing touch with alot of things I use to do. Had to rent a apartment which I to this day cannot adjust to this kind of life a apartment is not a home not like a home is suspose to be. I'm new to this so i am jumping thur alot an leaving out alot . I am now as of oct 3 65 years old i was without a car for 3 years just got one now so scared it may break down an ppl want work on cars now days i really struggle with this issues. I have really no where to go or nothing to do with my life due to my depression an my health as well. It is hard to make friends for me I am a loner. I need this to talk with ppl going thur what I am I hope it may help me.

When I had the test it was free, in return they keep your DNA for their database. Anonymously of course. I have no idea if you have to pay for it now. There are other companies doing the test too. Ask your doctor about it. They have to do it, it's not an at home test like the Ancestry tests.

I lost my husband and daughter due to my depression and chronic pain issues. I wasn't "there" mentally when my daughter graduated high school and college due to being treated by a pain doctor and no psychiatric help. Thankfully I found a good mental health center who I've been with for years now. I don't have many friends but do have pets that I focus on giving the best life to. Try enjoying your dog because they give unconditional love when treated well. Best wishes 💖

Depression is real and terrible. I suffer greatly from depression even with medication. I can relate. Need to vent, I am here.
