I hate to hear someone say oh just snap out of it already. I want to break their leg and tell them oh just get up and walk you're fine. If we could snap out of it we definitely would. And I hate being asked 10 times a day if I'm ok. No I'm not ok. But asking me over and over doesn't help. If a person is genuinely concerned about me that's fine. It's the ones who ask multiple times in an hour that annoy me. I feel like that are just trying to make themselves feel good. Just my personal opinion.

@Marielilly My husband has done the same. I was very hurt! He also said I was faking my Bipolar. And he can't go nowhere because I can't take care of myself so he has to be here! I feel like a burden!

Hi. Thx for question. Tried commenting before work today & got lost in cyberspace. Don't think I've ever been blamed for depression. It's an ailment like any other. It does have stigma, but it's no less of an illness than heart disease, diabetes, etc. Funny, but not funny, my cousin's take 1 look at me, & knowing I'm psychiatric, run away fast as possible!! So sad.

Let me answer the meds question here too. Do I trust meds I'm on? No, not anymore. I've asked countless times to have meds changed. I get told not till full effect of TMS, transcranial magnetic stimulation, has taken place. Maybe weeks? Asked psych today for Provigil. It's a stimulant, to help stay awake since I have sleep apnea. They mentioned it's not 1st line of meds to try. Bed now, as work demands me in morning.

Hope that helps. Be well

@Polina.K I often feel like others blame me for being depressed. I have had people tell me I just need to chose to be happy, if I prayed more I wouldn't be depressed, I need to stay home if I'm depressed as others don't want to "catch it", I just need to shake it off when someone says or does something hurtful, or ask me if I'm okay, and before I can answer they will say "yes you're okay."
