Hello everyone,

How are you today? emoticon cute

The pharmaceutical groups Pfizer (USA) and BioNTech (Germany), as well as Moderna (USA), announced last month that their vaccine candidates are around 94 and 95% "effective" in preventing COVID-19 infections, according to preliminary results of their large-scale phase 3 trials, which are still ongoing.

Earlier this week, the White House Coronavirus Task Force was in discussion about the FDA approval (slated for December 10th at the earliest), with rumors of a vaccine launch as early as the week of December 14th!

What do you think about this? Would you be interested in getting vaccinated against COVID-19 once the vaccine is available?

Feel free to discuss and share in the comments below!

Take care,

Courtney

I'm all for getting the shot because I'm on ocrevus and that is an immunosuppressant and a biologic drug. And it could kill me so getting the covid-19 shot it's a win-win anyway I look at it because it'll either protect me or it'll kill me and I know where I'm going and have faith in the Lord. 😇🕊❤

I am definitely planning on getting the vaccine. They are scheduling appointments now in Jacksonville Florida., 65 and up. This is thru government funding & only one location.  You have to make appointment & the 1st week, all appointments had been taken within less than an hour.  I did not get in.  My Primary Physician is for all to get the vaccine & I'm hoping my Neurologist feels the same for their MS patients.   Just will be glad when vaccines are given to doctors offices & hospitals for all.

I want to get the vaccine, that is until I see someone on TV getting it and I see the size of that needle! Yikes! I am worried though about being alone afterward. I live alone and with severe COPD and the possibility of flu-like symptoms, I think about the small but still there chance that I might need medical help and would not be in a position to call for it or get help. I know I will talk to my doctor about this, but I wondered if anyone else is in this position and what your thoughts are. I have no family to call on, so that is not a possibility.

@slyounts1 I live alone as well, I worry about those things as well, always keep your phone next to you where yo can call 911 by tapping 1 number or get hooked up to lifeline, where they set up speakers and phone system where you can just yell for help and they will  talk to you if you can talk or just sent help if you don,t respond. It's rather reasonable and provide some security. ALSO , GET YOUR NEIGHBORS PHONE NUMBERS IF POSSIBLE, THEY MAY BE WILLING TO HELP IN A EMERGENCY!!!!

I am looking forward to getting the vaccine but must wait so it doesn't interfere with MS med. My neurologist advised me to have blood work done before and after the shot. This won't be until May so I will continue my quarantine until then. emoticon cute

I have had COVID in the past month. If I can take the vaccine I plan on it. That COVID is no fun.

My Primary & Neurologist have said yes to me getting the vaccine.  The medication I'm on for my MS is no problem.  Now hard part is getting appt scheduled.  The location in my county where vaccine being given,   the appts filled up in less than 45 minutes for this week.  Trying again this Thursday when the website opens for next weeks schedule.   Hope & pray it works out.

I've just gotten over COVID-19. It was pretty rough. No taste or smell, really tired, fever a couple days. If I'm able to get the vaccine now that I've had it, I def will get it. Don't want to go thru that again.
