Good advisor

Hello members,

This a fun discussion for all of us to participate in and discuss Thanksgiving and plans: what food will you eat, what will you be doing, Thanksgiving and your condition (does it affect it?), etc.

And, after Thanksgiving, we invite you back to discuss with us how Thanksgiving was: what food did you eat, did you enjoy spending time with family and friends, and anything related to Thanksgiving and your condition.

Look forward to the discussion and have a great Thanksgiving!

Good advisor

For Thanksgiving I will be spending the day with my family... there will be an enormous amount of food as always. I will eat healthy and eat "diabetic" deserts, but I will also be sure to bring my insulin in case.

I enjoy the day tomorrow as I get to spend time with my loved ones; however, because of retail, I will be heading into work a late shift :(

I too enjoy this holiday... probably my favorite because all of the family gets together, unlike Christmas where the family is often split up.

I am always looking forward to the food. There will be delicous platters from American type food to Mexican good.

It gives me a way to forget about my own conditions also, as my mind is occupied. My condition will only come up when family members who I do not see often will ask how I am or have been....

@Judy349899‍ I am sorry you have to work. what is your occupation?

It is ok... I am used to it. I work at Macy's part-time always during the holidays. Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

The Mexican food sounds delicious... I am jealous.

Good advisor

Hey everyone. I hope you all had an outstanding Thanksgiving!

Mine was pretty good; however, I did have to work 6 hours at my job. But I was able to spend the earlier part of the day with my wife and her family. I had a good time with all of them! @notup!‍ that is a coincidence because we also had Mexican dishes at our Thanksgiving feast as my wife is originally from Mexico. We had a mix of Mexican food and some traditional American Thanksgiving dishes, such as turkey and potato salad.

I live in a different state than my family, so I was not able to spend it with them... Hoping to be nearer to them soon or have the ability to visit more often so I can spend more time with them soon!

I look forward to hearing from everyone in regard to their Thanksgiving too.

I have a very nice Thanksgiving. I have my brother inlaw and his girlfriend. She is a wonderful person. She helped me lot. Even my husband did the dishes. I didn't say a thing.

Take care.

Paula

I  cooked the turkey and it was 24 lbs. And I made turkey soup. It is so easy to make.

Good advisor

@Paulam02‍ that sounds amazing! Does your brother-in-law and girlfriend live close by? Did you enjoy Thanksgiving with any other family and/or friends?
