How was your Christmas/holiday? What kind of food did you indulge in? Any special gifts received?
How was it with the family and friends? Did you do anything special?
Did your condition affect the holiday at all?
Share and talk about how this past Christmas/holiday was.

Hi members! My Christmas was good. We celebrated it on Christmas eve in company of my wife's family. We had a lot of food: tamales, turkey, barbacoa, potatoes, and some great deserts. We stayed up until about 5 am talking and mingling. Christmas day, I slept in. Christmas day my wife and I exchanged some small gifts between each other, went to see a movie at the theater, and called it a night. My pain did not bother me too much that day, so I am thankful for that.

My Christmas was OK; I had a bad flare-up and because of the pain I refused to go to the family's and refused to have them pick me up. It was kind of depressing because it was the first Christmas I missed with the family, but hey... they did bring me leftovers the next day! The pain has been really bad lately and have been having severe bouts with headaches also, which does not make dealing with the day any easier.

@angelworm7 please do not say that! I know the holidays are hard for us... I also did not spend this holiday with my family and it was rough. I saw from your profile you are dealing with colorectal cancer... how is your situation? your diagnosis? prognosis?
I can understand the depression and how hard it hits around this time! Trust me, I can. But please do not give up! What can you do during the days to brighten your day? Try to focus on good things Angela.
