I had the external radiation and hormone therapy and now we a watching as the months goes by. Side affects are pains, frequently urination, and bowels control and of course ED..life as I knew it is over, but this experience has gotten me closer to God...

@Paul58 I went through the same thing. Radiation and then Lupron. I don't think I'm technically in remission yet, but the cancer is gone (for now). Still struggling with ED.

I've had my prostate removed, hormone therapy and soon to start radiation. Tiered most of the time and sex is a thing of the past but God is good, and that's what we all need to remember.

Hello everyone,
How are you?
As you know, there are several options in the treatment of prostate cancer. The choice depends on the patient's age, overall condition, and how far the cancer has progressed. Some of these include:
Active surveillance
External radiation
Internal radition (brachytherapy)
Radical prostatectomy (removal of the prostate gland)
Hormone therapy
Chemotherapy
What type of treatment have you undergone for you prostate cancer? What was the experience like? Did you have any side effects? How are you doing post-treatment?
