hi,

I'm scheduled to start hormone therapy soon for my prostate cancer. They'll be giving me Firmagon... Has anyone been on it before? Did you have any side effects?

Hi everyone, how are you today?

For those of you who have been on hormone therapy, were you prescribed degarelix (Firmagon®)? If so, can you share your experience? Was it effective? Did you have any side effects? How often did you have injections?

I started cosedex and will have a first shot of Lupron November 30. A friend of mine is three months ahead of me and has experienced little in the way of side effects. Research from PCRI tells me that exercise and diet will make all the difference in how this hormone therapy plays out. Radiation to follow. Best wishes.
