Hello, I have been taking Montelukast for a while now and I discovered by chance that it can have effects on the psyche.

I don't feel concerned or I'm not aware of it, who also takes it and has experienced side effects of this type.

Hi @shygiii5 I've never heard of such side effects of montelukast. My brother is on this drug and he has been getting quite a lot of headaches since he started it. His doctor warned him about this and he said he might also get abdominal pain and diarrhea which are common side effects but he never did, only migraines.

I take montelukast 1 everyday at the same time can't me a dose cuz of u miss a dose it won't help u with ur asma it help me the only this is that if ur asma is already active u need to go to the ER cuz the pill montelukast won't do nothing to u cuz asma is active but if u drink it every day at the same time it help u with ur asma on top of the if u got ur asma pump use them too but the flovent only use every 4 hrs of need that how I have my asma control in winter in summer I try my best cuz I Dnt have ac in my room so it hard for me go I put a fan in the window n to around the bed for my asma stay control

@Prmami39 , my allergist has me on a brand new rescue inhaler that just came out this year because nothing has ever helped me, all of the years I have had asthma and tried multiple rescue inhalers so it's called Airsupra and talk about is it the best for me! Has it helped my asthma tremendously and he also has me on Breztri 2 puffs 2 daily now too and boy,has that helped tremendously as well.

Shygiii5, I have psych issues and I have severe persistent asthma, which is the most life threatening and dangerous asthma of any other type of severe asthma anyone could ever have hun and I see an allergist and he has me on Montelukast and he has had me on it for 4 years and I have never had any side effects with it and my allergist knows what he is doing because he is board certified to treat patients like me with that severe type of asthma. I have been on singular for over a decade and experienced no negative symptoms. In my many years in the medical field, I have never encountered a patient that did not express benefits from using the drug.
