My wife was diagnosed with both UC and Crohn’s and recently HS as well as a not yet officially undiagnosed auto immune issue! I’m broke no matter what I do and how little sleep I get per night caring for our 2 young sons all day and night no to mention specialists costs $60 after insurance covers what ever it covers also lab costs and parking at hospitals for appointments! Is there any programs that will help in this type of thing? Grant? Or loan my credit is horrible and haven’t been able to be approved for the smallest loans! No outside support no other family I’m close to my breaking point but I am not giving up! Just need some help any help is greatly appreciated whether it’s $$ or just your kind words! I’m tired but aren’t we all? I feel so much sorrow for my wife to have to actually go through it I can’t even begin to imagine! But also I need help to keep on keeping on! Wish u all the very best!

Hi @UCspouse

I am sorry to hear about your wife's diagnosis and your struggles. Chronic conditions cause family and loved ones to also suffer, not only those with the illness. I hope you are able to find some kind of support from the Carenity members. I will tag a few who might be able to share with you how they financially handle the disease, or give some advice for how they support their partner through their journey.

@Chemitamarquez @Harrisflug1 @chais18a @LydiaO'D @Mel1287 @lkunde @bria_patel10 @bloom410 @Jennhylton @Maggiejames @Shaikira21 @Charlesjames @RDANNER @tdgonzalez @loren.kaminski @Arietism @Janieg @Lorifras @MsMarcia @sconnelly506 @GabrielleRiese @ShannonMichelle70 @Elaine.G @Randyj @nocolonkid @CMA2021 @Carlaj @antoinehajjar @missbutterfly @slegnel

How do you best support your partner and their UC journey? Do you also struggle to pay for medical costs? What tips can you give to @UCspouse that may help him at this time?

Take care everyone,
Lizzi from the Carenity team
