I am pregnant and I really start worrying about passing my condition to my child. Do you have children? Do they have diabetes type 1? Help please

Hey, @sunshine490! How are you feeling today?

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Being pregnant can already be very stressful as your body is rapidly changing, especially with diabetes type 1. T1D does run in genes, however, each case is individual. A lot of people do not know how to deal with a child with diabetes, therefore even if your child develops it, you can be there to support and educate. But for now, let's hope for the best. Have you told your doctor about your concerns? I will tag some members who might want to share their thought on this topic.

Hey everyone! How are you?

Do your parents or any other family members have any history with diabetes? What about your kids ( if you have kids)?

Take care,

Polina from the Carenity team
