I have suffered with psoriasis for 47 years. Prescription meds, otc ointments, creams, shampoos and home remedies only slightly helped (10%?). Because of another health-related issue my doctor recommended I try oral L-Citrulline (an amino acid). To my shock and joy my psoriasis improved 90 to 95% within 6 weeks. I have now been taking it for nearly 6 months and the results have been outstanding and continuous.

The following is a summary of my approach.

(Please note that I am NOT a doctor and this has just been the approach that has worked for me.

1) Due to some websites mentioning bloating as a side effect I started with 750 mg once a day and then every 3rd day increase by 750 mg until a dose of 5000 mg was taken daily. Little bloating was noted.

2) My doses have been 1000 mg at 5 times a day. research shows that If all 5000 were taken at the same time than most of the dose over 1500 mg is eliminated in the urine.

It took me about 3 weeks to show signs of improvement. No more open sores, massive flaking, bleeding, extreme itching etc. What a blessing!! I hope this helps others.
