According to WebMD, there are seven types of psoriasis:

plaque psoriasis: commonly in the areas of elbows, knees, scalp, and lower back
inverse psoriasis: commonly in the armpits, groing, under the breasts, and skin folds around genitals and buttoks
guttate psoriasis: commonly in the areas of the trunk, upper arms, thighs, and scalp
pustular psoriasis: commonly showing up in one are of the body, such as hands and feet.
erythrodermic psoriasis: commonly affects most of the body and is widespread
nail psoriasis: affecting the nails
psoriatic arthritis: condition where the individual has both psoriasis and arthritis.

I have plaque and psoriatic arthritis. I take pain-killers seldom and anti-inflammatories. Due to my distaste for pharmaceuticals, I also try and take high doses of probiotics, Vitamin

Take probiotics, vitamin C, vitamin D, and eat anti-inflammatory diet (alkaline)

plaque psoriasis: I have this especially bad on both elbows, and left wrist about the size of a dime and on my back
inverse psoriasis: along the belt line from hip to hip.

I also have it on both ears and chest, when i was diagnosed, the nurse practioner in dermatology just said I have psorasis, gave me a steroid cream script (which I dont tend to use because it dont work) and left, so I tend to use A & D ointment that people use for their childrens diaper rash and coconut oil, both keep me from itching and flaking

I also have plaque psoriasis + psoriatic arthritis. I have it pretty bad on my arms, neck, and scalp. And my joints have it bad too, especially my elbows.
