@Courtney_J Hi. I was diagnosed in my teen years after having strep throat. My mother also psoriasis, so I think we knew that I had a chance of getting it too. I have plaque psoriasis on my arms, armpits and backs of my knees, and sometimes on my hands. I can tolerate the itching because I don't know how, but I can somehow tune it out. It's the burning that really bothers me. Right now I'm on Humira and it's doing a pretty good job. I'm here to talk if anyone wants! 

@Courtney_J @selano! Hi, I was diagnosed as a kid too actually, around age 10. It primarily started on my knees and elbows, but with time it's creeped up my legs and back. Probably around 10 years ago it developed into psoriatic arthritis, so I deal with that as well. A few years ago I really focused on changing my diet and now take probiotics and eating an anti-inflammatory diet and consuming lots of antioxidants and it's helped my PA but I haven't really noticed any differences in my skin. 

I have it on my arms and scalp. I've managed to figure out what my triggers are but the meds I'm on don't help much, I still have pretty bad flares even though I avoid the things that make it bad. I've been on Stelara and Humira. I've been wanting to try Cosentyx but my doctor is hesitant.

I've had it since I was an early teen. They were convinced for a while that it was some kind of severe eczema until my mother insisted that the doctor do a biopsy. I started off on just topicals but over the years and the fact that I now also have psoriatic arthritis, I'm on methotrexate and a biologic.

I was diagnosed with psoriasis about 8 years ago now (crazy to think that it's almost been 10 years already since I got the official diagnosis). I also have PA, which was diagnosed a few years later. I think it's stress-induced - when I was diagnosed I was going through a really hard time personally. I'm not 100% sure of course, but I'm the only one in my family with it, so that's the conclusion I've come to.

For me it's on my scalp around my ears and hairline and on my joints (elbows, knees) and hands.
