Good afternoon. I am just wondering what your experiences are with Gabapentin. Many people say weight gain, but I would love to hear if it helps, and what symptoms it is helping please? Thank you

Have you tried Gabapentin? What were your side effects? Did it help control your dysesthesias caused by MS?

It helps with stiffness, but it diffinatly packs on some pounds if your not careful with you food intake

I take 2400 mgs daily I started at 300 x daily. Gabapentin has caused me to gain alot of weight n now I can't get it off. Urghhh...if anyone knows a medication similar to it please let me know. I take it for neuropathy.

I’ve been on gabapentin for 12 years. Varying doses. Currently 800 at night. It does make you tired and groggy. It will add weight. There as it numbs the nerve endings that are exposed cooling some of that pain there really isn’t another quite the same.
some Fibromyalgia drugs can do some but not a perfect fit as they deal with other disease. Activity helps both in countering the side effects and not needing as much.
