Multiple myeloma: How did you tell family and friends about your diagnosis?

@Courtney_J I told my family almost right away. My husband couldn't come with me to my appointments but he was the first person I told after I got the news. My children are grown and out of the house so I waited until I could see them in person (fortunately they don't live far), it felt important to me that they be there in front of me. They were all wonderful about it - emotional of course, but ready to jump in and be there for me. 

With friends it was a bit different, I did wait a little before telling them, mostly for myself to have the time to process everything and figure out what the next steps were. Some have stayed with me but others have sort of drifted away... Covid obviously doesn't help with that since I stay home mostly to stay safe since I'm in treatment, but now I know who are true friends through thick and thin.
