my scan came back 20.7 and dr and nurse did scan again. Been swollen for a time but just thought it was weight related. They want me in a liver study but I have to change gabapentin to another med or I won’t qualify. What is next? They told me tons of blood work more scans and either a placebo or a new drug they won’t know what I am taking till end of 80 week study. I am a little nervous

Hi @Smurflalala

I am sorry to hear about your recent doctor visit. It all sounds like uncertain waters to naviagte. Here is a thread about participating in the clinical study: https://member.carenity.us/forum/other-discussions/good-to-know/have-you-ever-participated-in-a-clinical-trial-3007

Hopefully you can get an idea of what it would be like.

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team

Hi @Smurflalala

How are you doing today?

This discussion may be relevant to you: Have you ever participated in a clinical trial?

I will tag a few members who were active in that post to see if they have any advice for you

@Cathy61 @mrsfjl @Gatorgirl @Tinkal @Angela46 @shakyamuni12 @mikeand75 @memarc1120

What tips can you provide for @Smurflalala ? How did you relieve your nerves during the process? What was the result of the trial like?

Take care,

Lizzi from the Carenity team
