I have not been able to feel good or bad for awhile. Just numb to life and am sick of it. When I do thinking feeling something it turns out to be a bad coping mechanism I’m using. I’m trying my hardest to be a good person and parent for my child. I hold a full time job and work like I should. Other than that really no outside socialization. I have 2 friends but 1 for sure the other is so flip floppy I’m just giving up on. This last year has been really hard with personal things. I have hope but just don’t see anything improving. I know in need to put in the work to see progress but where to start when you have no support system or family community is so hard. Sorry for the long post but I’m on the edge or beyond it at this point.

Hi @look_squirrel‍, thank you for sharing what you've been going through. When you have a lot of things on your plate - family life, social life, professional life, etc. - it can be overwhelming and  just make you want to shut down and shut everything out. Let me tag some other members who can share their experiences with you.

Hi everyone, how are you doing? Have you ever felt emotionally numb? When and why did it happen? Did you have a lot going on in your life at the time? What did you do to get through it? Can you share any advice?

@look_squirrel I know how you feel. It's hard keeping it all together when you're basically on your own. Stay strong, you can get there.
