So I think what I’m experiencing is depression but it’s a bit different than what I’ve experienced before. When I was young. I felt the collapse of the world, like I was terrible and no one liked me and nothing would ever get better. These days I just am not motivated. I’m uninterested in things i usually love doing. I sleep a lot but then stay up all night. I also feel very annoyed all the time; very unlike me. Is this depression, or maybe burn out? Just trying to make sense of this mix of emotions and general “blah ness” i don’t know if it’s bad enough to go see someone but it’s also not sustainable. Not sure what to do or how to break this funk.

What do you feel when you are depressed? Is it general lack of interest or intense feelings of immobility? Somewhere in between? What do you do to make yourself feel better?
