Mom died in February, just buried dad Wednesday. Not sure how I feel inside, tired, sad, out of focus.

Hello @DavidPyle‍  and @steph79‍, thank you both for sharing what you've been going through. I'm sorry to hear about you've both lost people in your lives. We all tend to process grief differently, and sometimes the brain can sort of "shut off" our emotions to try to help us to cope. It can be a hard feeling to shake.

Has anyone else been through this? Have you ever lost someone important to you? If so, how did you process your grief? Did you ever feel numb or empty? What helped you to make it through?

Please don't hesitate to share any words of advice or support, we're all here to help one another!

Take care,
Courtney

So. I can say my two closest family members have died unexpectedly. My grandma got murdered. And my (younger) brother died in a freak accident. And they were the only ones I talked to on a day to day basis. So I completely shut off from everyone. Although I’m not over the deaths (they’ve been recent). I realized. I have to keep fighting. I have to keep going and looking forward. It’s what they would want and expect. So although I want to give up. I know I have a purpose and that gives me a reason to keep fighting the pain. Their deaths broke me. But it also gave me reason to keep pushing forward.
