Hello. My girlfriend just broke up with me on Saturday night. I have been having trouble at my job. My depression has made it hard to do anything my mind races all the time. Sleep has been difficult constantly waking up Atleast once and hour every night. I believe in Jesus Christ and pray for relief from this feeling even if not permanently Atleast briefly. I know that I first need to make changes within myself before I can see results but it is not easy.

It seems like everything happens at one time and it is not easy trying to get through.  I am 70 years old and come from a family that thrives on chaos,  pitting everyone against each other, and my mom was the queen.  When she passed away 5 years ago it took me a year to look at how much I hated my life and myself.  Four years, I started journaling, joined weight watchers, started working out, and decided that I had to come first.  I still have bad days and weeks, but I look at people and see that I am not the only person who is suffering.  Even cloudy days are a way to start over every day.  Take it one hour and one day at a time.  It still think about my insane family, but I am so much better and stronger than the person I was when they were in my life.  If there is chaos now, it is because of me, not them. You have to get rid of what does not serve you anymore.

I still struggle but always try to find something positive everyday.  I am proud that you took the first step by talking about how you feel.  I know you can do this. 👍❤
