My grandma just moved into our house temporarily and she coughs a lot. It turns out she has COPD. I was just curious if it is contagious. I am worried that I or my husband will get it. I haven't asked her because I don't want her to feel bad, but would be nice to know.

How are you doing today?

No COPD is not contagious, but there are other illnesses that can be transmitted via the coughing of someone with COPD. I will tag a few other members who may be able to give some advice for how to live with someone with COPD.
