Today I’m having a good breathing day, in spite of the fact that I have been recovering from a very severe COPD exacerbation that sent me to the hospital because I also developed pneumonia. They wanted to intubate me, but I refused. I was in the hospital for a week and they sent me home. I have been trying to regain my strength (and some weight, I came home and weighed 95 lbs.). I now have to tote a portable concentrator around and it weighs 4.5 lbs. it’s really been hard. I’m still not back to myself. I’m having a hard time making friends with the concentrator.
