I had to be transported to the Emergency Room to be treated for pneumonia. What are my chances of getting COVID 19??

@LynninTx @Courtney_J Sorry you're going through that! What a terrible time to be dealing with a respiratory infection! I'm sure there's always a chance that you could get it just from being there since they can't put you or the people who are possibly carrying the virus in a bubble, but I feel like hospital staff have put measures and steps in place to protect people from it. I'm sure you'll be fine. Wishing you a swift and safe recovery!

Sorry if this seems off-topic, but it's semi-related. Anyone know how long the virus is supposed to live on different surfaces? I have to take my wife to an appointment at the hospital this week and I'm worried that we'll bring it home with us on our clothes or something. Does anyone know anything?
