Hello everyone,

How are you doing today?

How many times do you hear "But you don't look sick"? Many struggle to comprehend that people may suffer from invisible illnesses. At Carenity, many people are live with conditions that have "invisible" symptoms.

What about you? Have you experienced these types of comments? Do people understand your situation? Do you tell your coworkers, friends? How do you make it through the day living in pain that people don't understand?

I'll tag a few members to see if they would like to share an experience.

Yes of course people do say that it makes me really sad sometimes that I have to explain my self to people that I have a chronic pain disorder on the inside or like I have a handicap parking thing and people say I'm abusing it but I'm not cause it's so difficult to walk just a short distance if those people only knew my struggles

I have no neck because of my KFS. I don't mind being asked. It's the stares that bother me. My doctors are my problem. Typically I go in, tell them I have KFS, they say of course I know that, then ask me how to spell it, look it up on their phone IN FRONT OF ME! Then tell me fusions don't cause pain! And act like they know more about it than me! So I still feel unseen.
